EXOTIC MICRO BULLY
Exotic Micro Bully Breed Standard
Height:
Females must measure 13 inches or less. Males must measure 14 inches or less.
Weight:
The ideal weight range is approximately 30–40 pounds. Dogs exceeding 40 pounds are permitted provided the weight remains proportional to height. Obesity is considered a fault.
Head:
The head should be round with clear bulldog characteristics. Eyes must be set wide apart and must not bulge. The nose should have a slight upward turn and may be of any colour.
Bite:
All dogs are required to have an undershot bite; however, it must not be extreme to the point where the lower canines are visible when the mouth is closed.
Eyes:
Brown eyes are preferred, though all eye colours are acceptable. Eyes should be oval in shape and must not protrude from the skull.
Ears:
Only natural ears are allowed. Cropped ears are prohibited in the show ring in accordance with regulations set by Charlie McConalogue, Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, under Section 36 of the Animal Health and Welfare Act 2013.
Body:
The body should be short from the withers to the tail. The chest must be wide relative to height and deep enough to reach the elbows. A compact appearance is desired. Front and rear width should be balanced and proportionate, avoiding a narrow rear. While the chest may be wider than the hindquarters, excessively narrow hindquarters are a fault.
Shoulders and Rump:
These areas should be well-rounded and heavily muscled, giving an overall impression of strength. A slight rise over the loin is acceptable but not preferred and must never be excessive.
Legs:
Legs must be heavy-boned and proportionate to the body. Legs that are too long relative to the body or have fine bone structure are considered serious faults. Cow hocks and pigeon toes are faults.
Feet:
Feet should be tight with strong, straight pasterns. Splayed feet or weak pasterns are faults.
Tail:
The tail may be short or screwed.
Colour:
All coat colours are permitted.
Temperament:
The dog should display a friendly and stable temperament. Excessive shyness or unwarranted aggression is considered a fault. Exotic Micro Bullies must never show aggression toward humans.
