The Standard French Bulldog is a compact and confident companion breed known for its playful and comical personality. Despite its light-hearted nature, the breed should always display confidence and stability. Shy, insecure, or nervous behavior is considered undesirable.

Head & Expression

The head is defined by large bat-like ears that are rounded at the tips and set high on a flat skull. The muzzle is wide with a visible layback, and the underjaw is slightly undershot. Overshot bites or wry jaws are disqualifying faults.

Body & Movement

The body is cobby and compact with a wide rib cage and deep chest. The topline rises gradually toward the loin, commonly known as a roach back. Movement should be smooth and balanced with a clear four-tracking pattern.
